The Mayor of the Andek Council in the Momo Division of the North West has stated clearly that the ongoing 2021 year has permitted his municipality to record many projects as compared to the previous years during the ongoing sociopolitical upheavals. Mayor Ubangoh Helly Manyelle Akoba made the groundbreaking remark during the midterm evaluation session. According to the councillors, the challenges faced have eased development but regrettably bared them from living the warmth of their municipality.

For the past months this year, the Andek has successfully constructed classrooms and other facilities in the areas of Basic Education as well as vocational training at GS Angai, GNS Andek and SAR/SM. The Mayor used the session to beckon on the councillors and their families to return to their homes in a bid to enable state assigned workers and other social work force to resume in the municipality so that course of development can well be advanced. " The construction of a Zoo Technical and Veterinary Centre and the construction of an Agricultural post and a residence for the chief of post is enough to prove that we have the improvement of the agro sector of our subdivision. This is because most of our population is in the area of crop production", Mayor Ubangoh highlighted. He further intimated that some mobility concerns were handled in the area of bridges and rehabilitation since it would ease the movement of persons, goods and services especially food from the farms to the huge markets in Mbengwi and Bamenda.
